Introduction to Tamazight Grammar:

(1)Masculine Forms.

Masculine forms in Tamazight start with one of the following vowels: [A] (This form is common)
Examples :

Tamazight words English Equivalents.

Argaz [argaz] man
Afous [afus] Hand
Afoud [ afud] Knee

Usage:

Gigh yan urgaz akhatar
[giغ yan urgaz aخatar]
I am a big man

[U] ( this form is less common)

Examples :

Tamazight words English Equivalents

Udem [udem] Face
Udi [udi] Butter/ Oil
Ull [ul] Heart

Ughb [uغb] Tooth

[I] This form is less common.
Examples:

Tamazight words English Equivalents

Imi [imi] Mouth/Entrance

Ifyidi [ifyidi] wound
Izi [izi] Fly (a)
Izimer [izi:mer] Ram

NB:
All masculine words start with one of vowels mentioned the only exception is : Laz [ laz] meaning hunger and Fad [fad] meaning being thirsty. and of course borrowed word from other languages.

(2) Feminine Forms:

feminine forms in Tamazight start with [ t] and ending [t].In some cases the final [t] might deleted .

Aghbalu ( source of water) Tala /Tahala (source of water) .

As a Sociology BA holder , i ve been always attracted to Amazigh social institutions as well as any related anthropological issues. therefore, i found your "cultural project" entitled "Amazigh virtual museum" a good means for anyone who wants to learn and know more about the Amazigh peoples ,as well as its cultural and historical aspects. Indeed you represents an instance of "Berberitude" research needed to create a new and deep understanding for such an indigenous culture "Tamazight". Hence; carry on Mr Brahim good luck with this great mission.
